If you are a small-medium business owner or a Marketing/Sales executive at a larger corporation, Kim Albee’s “Effective Online Marketing in a Nutshell” will be the most treasured weapon in your marketing arsenal. She does a marvelous job at keeping it simple and short, yet providing enough information to help you understand and acknowledge the importance of online marketing. This book also does a great job at being unambiguous about some of the newer online marketing tactics.
Rarely does one find so much helpful information packed into such a compact space. Kim really gets down to "what's important" in this handy little booklet, cutting out all of the fluff and providing concise, effective, no-nonsense advice for online marketing.
I just read the booklet, "Effective Online Marketing In A Nutshell" and I have to say it is excellent. Clear, concise, and jam-packed with excellent information in just a few pages. Of the dozens of web marketing blogs, white papers, webinars and seminars I've read or attended, this drives home the best of the best practices.
As a director of marketing communications for a software company, I will give a copy of the booklet to each member of my team as required reading and also pass it along to marketing peers at other companies.
In my sales effectiveness consulting business, I often run across organizations that have little in the way of on line marketing or lead nurturing solutions. In the past I would steer them to a handful of resources to facilitate the development of their strategy, but they often got overwhelmed. Kim has done a fantastic job of distilling down all of the important issues under this subject into one resource with practical insight into assessing your current solution. Earlier today, I showed this booklet to one of my new customers and they were blown away. They said it took weeks of research to garner half of what Kim delivers in a mere 20 pages. Don’t hesitate, get this booklet now!
Starting my own business was challenging enough, but I had an idea (the passion, the substance), a product to act as the seed, and a fertile target audience. I was confident that I could cultivate that idea into a viable suite of products and services. That didn't scare me, that energized me.
However, what scared me, what drained my batteries, what looked to me like the equivalent of a rubik's cube, was the world of online marketing. It was the puzzle I knew I needed to solve but had no idea as to how to go about it. Researching the topic didn't build my confidence, it only served to exacerbate my confusion. I found more speculation than information, and more snake oil salesmen than experts. I had a hard time separating the signal from the noise.
Then I got my hands on Kim Albee's booklet, "Effective Online Marketing in a Nutshell." It was a breath of fresh air. Written in a clear and concise manner, formatted in a logical sequence based on the prospect's perspective, this 22 page booklet provides a pragmatic roadmap through the fog of online marketing.
After receiving the booklet, "Effective Online Marketing In A Nutshell", I implemented some of the ideas listed on p. 5 under "Social Media: Making Friends for Fun and Profit", and I joined some LinkedIn groups that are a target market for my soon to be released book. Just after joining the groups, I posted some comments to a discussion that was happening within the group, and ended up with requests for writing additional articles that will highlight my book!
Every time I take actions it promotes positive reaction around my internet marketing, similar to what is outlined in the booklet, I see a result that is working in the direction of it becoming the next business book best seller! It truly has given me a context to understand the world of internet marketing.
